Introducing Baby Archer

Hello!

I have missed this blog and all you lovely readers SO much! This blog has always been a place where I can write about the things that make me happy and today is no different.

I am so excited to introduce you to my beautiful son, Archer! He was born on February 10th and we took him home from the hospital on our 3rd wedding anniversary (Feb 12th). We are so proud of him and I can't wait to see what life has in store for him.

I will be returning to the blog this fall but I just wanted to share my joy with all of you. See you soon!

2014 is a new year!

I have to admit, I've been a terrible blogger lately!! I have a good reason though :) I'm only 4 weeks away from welcoming my son into the world and needless to say, things have been crazy! Between that and the holidays, I've barely had any time to spend with just my hubby let alone extra time for the blog.

That being said, I'm going to officially take a break from blogging for a while. Being a first time mommy is a bit overwhelming so I want to settle into that role before I continue blogging. I appreciate all of you so much and I really do love this blog so I'm hoping to return to blogging in the fall of 2014. Until then, I will continue to check my email periodically and I will likely still be active on Pinterest so feel free to follow me there as well!

Thank you for your understanding and patience! I will post pictures of my little man so you can all meet him as well!

DIY Hot Air Balloon Garland

I have been toying with the idea of doing a hot air balloon theme for the baby's room so I have been searching for ideas of what to put in there. This beautiful garland caught my eye and I just had to share it with all of you!

Wouldn't something like that be so cute hanging above the baby's crib?! I can just see the baby looking up and seeing all the beautiful colors and being so happy to be able to see that everyday. Check out the tutorial for this cute garland right here!

Water Color Ribbon

With Christmas on its way, its time to start keeping an eye out for those perfect gifts and the best ways to wrap them. I don't know about all of you but I seem to have a lot of white ribbon or white bakers twine in my crafting cabinet and now I know just what to do with it!

This beautiful ribbon started out white and is now the perfect pink and blue that you see above and all she used was water color paints! Check out the great tutorial here and keep this in mind for Christmas!

Cute and Easy DIY Burp Cloths

With the baby only a few short months away from making his or her debut, I have been (and will probably continue) keeping my eye out for awesome baby related crafts. One that I found this week was this tutorial from Sara at House Bella on how to make your own super cute burp cloths! I know its not the most glamorous thing in the world but that's OK because the cute patterns make it a lot more fun!
