Fall Crafts: Large Distressed Fall Sign

Remember that Wreath from yesterday? Wouldn't it look great with some other fall decor on the portch? Maybe a giant, rustic, gorgeous "Fall" sign?! I think so!! I wish I had an actual house (not a condo) so that I could decorate a front porch for the holidays...wishful thinking...at least for now!

As for this moment, I will have to enjoy the beautiful decor that everyone else has. To get the full tutorial for this sign, head on over to Love Grows Wild.

This Birch wrapped candle is easy to create and will just take a few minutes. You can see the full tutorial for these beautiful candles here!

Back to School: Duct Tape Notebook Pocket

Now that I'm out of school (and have been for a while), I use notebooks for things like coupons and I need little pockets and hiding spots in my notebooks. It was similar when I was in school. Teachers gave me notes and papers to take home to my parents and I would just stuff them in my backpack.

This craft helps to eliminate the clutter. Dream a Little Bigger has a wonderful tutorial on how to create Duct Tape Pockets for your notebooks so you can actually monitor the papers that your kid brings home from school! Click here for the tutorial.

Back to School: DIY Crayon Storage!

When you have little ones, there is not shortage of creative energy! Usually, that little energetic peanut will leave a trail behind them. I have mixed feelings about this trail of evidence - part of me feels excited because I know they are learning and growing and having fun expressing themselves. On the other hand, I get that sinking feeling of knowing that I have to follow along and clean up as my little one goes.

I know my house will never be perfectly clean all the time and I'm OK with that but I would like to banish the sinking feeling. I think it gets in the way of my little man having the time of his life!

This Crayon storage roll is a great way for your little creative bundle to help you clean up. It's bright, it's fun, and it's easy for your kiddo to figure out. All they have to do is slip the crayons right back into the slot that they got them from.

If you have a little kiddo, like me, you can even color code the slots to help them start to recognize their colors! Head over to Domestic Bliss Squared for a review and tutorial!

Back to School: DIY Locker Magnets

I remember the coolest thing about going into middle school - the lockers. It was your own little space in the school that you could decorate and make your own. You could put pretty much whatever you want in them and it was so much fun!

I remember perusing the isles of Office Depot looking for the cutest locker accessories so that I could have the best locker in the hall! If only I had seen this tutorial from The Impatient Crafter, I would have been all set!

What kid doesn't want awesome locker accessories and the best way to do that is to make them yourself! Its the ultimate way to customize! Head on over to The Impatient Crafter and check out her tutorial!
