Paint Dipped Pinecones

It is getting closer to fall! I'm starting to notice that the leaves are turning and the weather is slowly but surely getting a little bit colder each week. I've been on the lookout for some beautiful fall crafts and this one caught my eye!

Summer is coming and its time to get outside!

My mom and I were just talking the other day about how we need to spend more time together and outside this summer! She has been wanting to make raised garden beds for quite a while now and I think I found the perfect idea from Ana White!

Beautiful right? And each one of those raised garden beds only cost her $10!! Click here to go to Ana's page and check out her tutorial on how to make these great gardens! Summer time, here we come!

How to Build a Pergola

I think that your home should look beautiful not only on the inside, but also on the outside! A great way to add some space for hanging out outside is to build a pergola.

I found a great website that talks about how to build a pergola. I'll show you some pictures and then I'm going to just let you venture on over to their site because you probably don't want me to tell you how to build it...it will probably fall! Haha!
A beautiful addition to your yard
This illustration shows how the pergola is<br/> assembled.

I love the diagrams in this post. They make it so easy to follow! What a great project to take on just in time for summer!

Autumn Table Setting and Lanterns

Have you ever been to one of those houses for the Holidays and it seems like everything is perfect beyond perfect? The house looks clean, smells like pie, it's decorated beautifully, and to top it all off, when you sit down for dinner, the table is decorated with beautiful handmade decor.

Sometimes I get insecure when I go to homes like this because, I gotta tell ya, that's nothing like my house! For this reason, I rarely do any entertaining. Only for special occasions :) I actually like to be the one being entertained haha!

Once I start a family though, I'm going to have to learn to get better at entertaining. I think one of the things that will make a huge impact with minimal effort is making these beautiful table settings and lanterns from Craft and Creativity!

I love the leaves hanging from the chandelier. It is such a natural feel for autumn. And I like the chandelier itself too! I may have to go on the hunt for one like that :)

This table setting is also really natural and fairly easy to create! I love the wine bottle that is wrapped in leaves. It really dresses up the bottle!

Thanks to Helena from Craft & Creativity for sharing this great decor!

31 Days of Halloween!! {Day 5} Natural Porch

I love the look of this natural porch from About.com

I love the colors that are used in this porch and I love that it is so easy and natural. No store bought decorations, no glitter, no fake spider webs (not that any of those things are bad). Sometimes it is just nice to enjoy nature how it was intended to be.

The mix of green and orange in this photo are really nice too!

**DONT FORGET that at the end of the week we are going to have a themed link party for all the decorated porches that you have made!! So get ready to share your Halloween spirit!**

31 Days of Halloween!! {Day 3} Classic Portch

**Looking for Well Crafted Wednesdays? Since we are doing the 31 Days of Halloween during October, the link parties have moved to Sunday and will be Halloween themed for the duration of October. I hope to see you on Sunday!!**

This beautiful porch was designed by Donna at Party Wishes.  Some of this stuff was already on her porch (the beautiful black and white loveseat that is there and the light fixtures and plants) and the other stuff she got for a great deal!

I love the pendant banner that she hung above the door and the framed skeleton on the wall!

In her post about this porch, Donna says that she got a few of the items at IKEA and the other stuff she got at the dollar store! That is so awesome! I love it when decorating looks expensive but you don't have to spend much. Thats the best kind of decorating!

Thank you, Donna, for letting us see the beautiful porch that you created!

Stop by tomorrow for more inspiration!

**DONT FORGET that at the end of the week we are going to have a themed link party for all the decorated porches that you have made!! So get ready to share your Halloween spirit!**

31 Days of Halloween!! {Day 2} Bat Doorway

Continuing the theme for this week - Halloween Porches - we have another festive doorway that would spook any trick-or-treater!

I love the way that the bats look like they are flying out of the twigs in the planter. Its such a cool effect!

These scary little creatures are made out of stiffened felt! What an inexpensive way to make a BIG statement with your decorating!

If you would like the template for the bats in this picture you can click here!

31 Days of Halloween!! {Day 1} Porch Parade!

I love Halloween. It's one of my favorite holidays and this will be my first year blogging and going through the holidays. I am SO excited!!

I like to decorate early (yes...I am one of those people) and I think when it comes to Halloween, you should start on the outside of your house and work your way in as you get closer to the holiday.

So, I have structured my 31 Days of Halloween the same way!

Week 1 - Halloween/Fall themed porches
Week 2 - Halloween/Fall themed mantels
Week 3 - Halloween/Fall themed printables (some will be from other sites, some will be made by me)
Week 4 - Pumpkins!! (I know these go on the outside of your house but they get yucky if you make them too early)

We are kicking off week 1 with a parade of porches! Without further ado -

Check back tomorrow for more Halloween fun!

**At the end of this week I will be having a LINK PARTY for all your decorated Halloween Porches! So get some inspiration and get to decoratin'! **
